Very often, the days that we celebrate are also the days that come with a heavy heart for those who are grieving. Perhaps you are grieving the loss of a mother or a child. Maybe you are grieving the relationship that you wanted and needed and never quite received. Maybe the distance of miles, age or illness keep you apart.
If that is you this week, know this: I see you. Be tender with your heart this Sunday–and every day. There is no timeline or guidebook to grief. The work of being resilient is often quiet, gentle work and much as it is big, bold work. You are feeling what you need to feel. Accept it. Do what feels right to you. Allow it.
